What is northeastlights.info?

Northeast Lights is a blog about the night sky in New England. Despite the weather and the difficult terrain, the Northeast is home to some truly brilliant night sky, with excellent stargazing and frequent appearances from the Northern Lights. When I first started chasing the aurora and hauling my telescope around, a big part of the challenge was getting up to speed on when the Northern Lights appear, how to dodge clouds, where to go to find dark skies, and what to look for once I got there. The posts here are dedicated to helping other sky watchers do the same, and to get started exploring New England at night.
